Bassett – Lowke  4-4-2 Mighty Atom

This historic locomotive was built in 1907, and is similar to the two original 4-4-2 locos which operated at Rhyl. Mighty Atom is in very original condition having not been operated since 1951 but conserved complete since then.

This locomotive was purchased in 2009 by a private consortium of individuals, and is presently in storage. We hope that if in future the locomotive is restored to operation that it may visit us for some of the time.
