Captain Hook and his Pirate friends took over Marine Lake for a Swashbuckling weekend on May bank holiday 2016. The ‘Battle of the White Swan’ took place each day on the lake itself – a spectacle for all to see!
There was free family entertainment, on all three days hosted by magician ‘Gary Sausage’. On Sunday dancers Splitz-and-Sequins performed, and the Rhyl Marching Band played some pirate themed tunes on Monday.
With fairground attractions on site, plenty of steam trains to enjoy on Rhyl Miniature Railway and Aqua Adventures family boat hire there was plenty going on!
The event was run by Rhyl Steam Preservation Trust, a registered charity, and supported by Marine Lake boating specialists Aqua Adventures.
Here are some of our snaps from the successful weekend!
